Safari Day Tour Itinerary

DAY 1

• The pick-up for our day tours is 06:30 AM, the drive takes 2 hrs. 45min. the arrival time is approximately 9:45 AM
• You will be driving around the game reserve from the time of arrival until 13:00 PM where you will go for lunch of about an hour, then around 14:00 PM, the drive resumes until 16:00 PM
• At 16:00 PM, we depart the reserve, heading back to Durban. The arrival time will be 18:30 PM

2 Days 1 Night

Two Days (One Night) Safari Tour and Boat Cruise Itinerary

DAY 1

• The guide will pick you up from your accommodation at 07:00 AM. Driving from Durban to Hluhluwe game reserve, which will take about 2 and a half to 3 hours, during the drive, your guide will share some history about KwaZulu Natal and other provinces in South Africa.
• At 10:30 AM you will stop at the cheetah rehabilitation center, which is close to the Hluhluwe game reserve. This is the place where they are trying to get these endangered wild cats back into the wild. The local guide will conduct the tour which takes about an hour and 30 minutes. Some of the wild cats that can be seen are: caracals, African wild cat, serval cats and cheetahs
• After the cheetah project, we will drive straight to Hluhluwe game reserve which is about 30 minutes from the cheetah center. We will arrive at hilltop Camp, which is the main camp in the Northern part of the reserve and that’s where we will overnight.
• At 12:30 to 13:00 we will have lunch at the camp, waiting to check in at 14:00.
• At 15:00 the guide will drive you around the reserve until late and on your return you’ll have dinner in the camp
• NB: you could opt to be driven on an open car and pay extra for that service

DAY 2

• Go on an early morning drive before breakfast
• We will have breakfast at 08:30 AM and after breakfast we checkout.
• At 10:30 AM we leave Hluhluwe game reserve and head to St Lucia for a 2 hour boat cruise
• At 12:30PM you’ll be on a boat cruise at Isimangaliso St Lucia for 2 hours where you can expect to see lots of hippos, crocodiles and a variety of water birds.
• At 14:30 PM we can have lunch in one of the restaurants around or just walk around town before we head back to Durban
• We will arrive in Durban at 18:00 to 18:30 PM.

3 Days 2 Nights

Three Days (Two Nights) Safari Tour and Boat Cruise Itinerary

DAY 1

• We will go for a morning game drive before breakfast.
• From the drive, we shoot straight to the restaurant for breakfast
• After breakfast, we will go back to the game drive for the whole day, exploring all the different directions of the reserve.
• We will stop for lunch on the Southern part of the reserve and come back to the main camp around 15:30 -16:00 PM
• Dinner will be served from 18:30

DAY 3

• Go on an early morning drive before breakfast
• We will have breakfast at 08:30 AM and after breakfast we checkout.
• At 10:30 AM we leave Hluhluwe game reserve and head to St Lucia for a 2-hour boat cruise
