The tour starts by picking up tourists from Durban or Richards bay. The first stop will be St Lucia inside the Isimangaliso Wetland Park. You will be taken on a two-hour guided tour around the estuary. Isimangaliso Wetland Park was declared the world Heritage Site in 1999 by UNESCO. The protected area is home to one of the largest population of hippopotamuses as well as plus minus 2000 Nile crocodiles.

Where is Isimangaliso Wetland Park?
The Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park – now known as the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, is largely considered South Africa’s third biggest park and extends from Mapelane (Cape St. Lucia) in the South, to Kozi Bay Nature Reserve in the North. The park has over 280km of near pristine coastline and comprises of more than 328 000 hectares of magnificent scenery.

DAY 1
- The pick-up time will be 07:00 AM from your accommodation
- The drive to St Lucia is about 2 and a half hours and the arrival time will be at 09:30 -10:00 AM
- You might start by doing the board walk before your boat cruise or you will do your boat cruise first, depending on the schedule of the boat
- Tourists will have lunch around 12:30 -14:45 PM in the local restaurants
- 15:00 PM will be the departure time for Durban and arrival time will be 17:30-18:00 PM
